Roll call
From 7th Cavalry Regiment Wiki
Roll call is the calling of the names of people from a list (roll) to determine the presence or absence of the listed people. The term applies to the calling itself, to the time moment of this procedure, and to a military signal that announces it (e.g. by a drum). Roll calls in the 7th Cavalry take place once a week in our forums.

Roll call should be completed before Friday night's 1800 CST. SL will update their original roll call post for that week and fill in the names of their troopers under the appropriate heading (Accounted For and Unaccounted For).
- SL is to specify if a trooper is on leave of absence (LOA), and list trooper as Accounted For.
- If a trooper is determined to be AWOL, the SL will include the date the of the trooper’s “Last Post” on the forum and will put (AWOL) next to the troopers name.
The report should be sent to the Platoon Sergeant on Sunday night before 1700 CST
Supplemental 12MAY2011
- The Section Leader is responsible to update the roll call post in a timely fashion, and should ideally be scanning it and updating it ever day with the newest "report ins".
- The Section Leader is responsible to update the training after action report within 24 hours after the training event took place.
- The Section Leader should have his training plan and any "training references" ( ie: manuals that will be reviewed ) posted and notice made PRIOR to the training event.
INTENT OF SUPPLEMENT
- It is damn nigh impossible for your CO1SG / COXO / COCMDR to assist you, cover down for you, and track what is going on if you do not tell them. If you get sick on friday and dont show up to update your post before closing time, we loose a lot of time, and a lot of data. The realistic need to update things in a timely fashion is common sense.
