TeamSpeak Rules

Chat Window

The 7th Cavalry Regiment "chat window" is NOT to be used by members for open chat except by the Command Staff for making general announcements or to call a Garry Owen or by boot camp to aquire assistance (by any member).

Away from keyboard

Members who are away from their PC for more than 30 minutes, should log off of the Voice Chat Client (i.e. Teamspeak) MP's will be enforcing this rule as that no one is simply taking up space on the Voice Chat Client channels. For absences of less then 30 minutes, use the "Away Room".

(See General order eight)

Setting Phonetic Name

Everyone needs to set up a Phonetic Nickname in TS3.

To do this:

  1. Go to the Self Menu
  2. Click on the Set Phonetic Nickname
  3. Put your Rank and Name into the box

If the change does not stick, within TeamSpeak press Ctrl+B for the "Bookmarks" dialog and press the "More" button. Right below the line there is a "Phonetic Name" entry. Enter your rank and name there, click "Apply" and you are good to go! Remember, the proper format of the Phonetic Nickname is "Full Rank Nickname", so "Sergeant Johnny" is good, while "SGT. Johny" or "Johnny Boy" are not. If your name is tricky to pronounce, try adding spaces and apostrophes or writing it more phonetically, English-wise. This should help.

Special Channels

Boots and Saddles Saloon

Only members of the age of 18 or older will be granted access regardless of rank or privilege. Anyone violating this order will be brought before a Court-Martial.

In addition, the Boots and Saddles Saloon will not be utilized for combat operations with the exception of Drunk Night. If you are playing you will be removed from the Saloon and you will be warned. A second warning and you will lose your membership to the Saloon for a span of 6 months.

(See General order Seventeen)

Away Room

Members who are away from their PC for less than 30 minutes should place themselves in the "Away Room".
